Peter Dundas meninggalkan label Emilio Pucci tahun 2015 sebagai Creative Dircetor, lalu digantikan oleh Massimo Giorgetti yang juga berhenti di tahun 2017, praktis label Emilio Pucci tidak punya Creative Director. Kursi kosong ini barangkali membuat musim lalu Emilio Pucci tidak menggelar koleksi Spring/summer, tidak ada ‘jenderal kreatif’nya. Namun bulan Februari ini Emilio Pucci bangkit kembali, menghadirkan satu rangkaian koleksi pakaian yang cerah dan ‘ngepop’.
Setelah tidur semusim, Emilio Pucci menghadirkan 41 set rancangan yang dipresentasikan di Milan Fashion Week 2018. Koleksi tampil tetap dalam tradisi Pucci yaitu geometric print, kultur olahraga Ski, dan kaftan-kaftan yang glamor. Pada koleksi terbaru ini, nuansa 50s kembali dibangkitkan, motif geometric print dikaryakan ke bentuk parka, quilted, dan sebagian berpoles rhinestone. Elemen Jaket-jaket pendek, celana panjang cargo dengan bentuk saku retro, kaftan yang paling simpel (namun ‘berteriak’ dengan motif), kimono coat, shawl parka yang dililit di leher dengan efek bouffant.
Desain yang tetap ter-update dengan trend mode ini membuat timbul pertanyaan, siapa Creative Director yang memimpin kinerja label Emilio Pucci saat ini? Dan jawabnya adalah, Tidak Ada. Emilio Pucci hanya menggunakan tim internal yang sudah lama berkarya dan mengerti Emilio Pucci.

I do like the way you have framed this specific concern plus it really does offer me a lot of fodder for thought. On the other hand, from everything that I have observed, I just hope when the actual reviews pack on that individuals remain on point and don’t start on a tirade of some other news du jour. Anyway, thank you for this fantastic piece and while I do not necessarily agree with the idea in totality, I respect your perspective.
